Do I need to register with O2?

To purchase products from O2 via their website, it is a good idea to register with them first, as not only will this speed up the buying process – you will be required to provide contact information whether you register with O2 or not – but it will also mean that you will be included in exclusive O2 prize draws and special offers.


How long does it take to register?

The registration process is quick, easy and secure – any information you enter will be protected. Type in your current mobile number if you have one, and you will be sent an SMS text message containing your registration code.

You will be required to provide contact information such as your full name, address including your postcode, the make of phone you currently have (e.g. Nokia).

You will also be asked to create a username and password – the username may not contain spaces or brackets, and the password should be a combination of letters and numbers. After registration is complete, you will be sent two more SMS messages which will verify both your username and password.


What do I need to register?

  • A mobile phone
  • Contact details (full name, address, email address, and the make of your phone)
  • Username and Password


I have registered with O2. What now?

Now you can create your mobile phone package with O2. After finding the phone you want, click through to O2's site. You will be immediately directed to the phone on the site. Click the 'Add to Basket' tab to begin the ordering process.

Once you have selected your phone on O2's site, you will then be provided with a list of available O2 tariff options - see above for more details on the O2 Tariffs.


I've chosen my tariff – what now?

You can add optional extras such as O2 Bolt-Ons, such as £100 messages for £5.00 a month on O2 Pay Monthly, opt for extras such as the O2 Bluetooth Headset for £19.99. After deciding on your extras, your O2 phone package is now complete, and you are ready to proceed to the checkout.


How can I pay?

After clicking 'Proceed to Checkout' you will have the chance to review your package and check to see if everything is fine. When you come to pay, you will be required to enter your personal details, your full name, email address and a contact phone number. Alternatively, if you have an O2 login, and you have not logged in to O2's site already, you can log in now, and your personal details should be uploaded.

Here you can set the delivery date, most phones are usually delivered in 1-3 working days, you can specify another date at a time which is most convenient for you – deliveries before 10:00AM come with a £9.99 service charge.

You can choose to pay either monthly via direct debit, or all in one on credit or debit card. You will be required to enter the address to which all statements are sent.


If paying by direct debit you will need:

  • Account holders name
  • Account number
  • Sort Code
  • Name of bank/building society


If paying by credit card you will need:

  • Cardholder's name
  • Type of card
  • Card number
  • Card security code
  • Expiry date, start date and issue number

When you have entered all of the relevant details, click through once more to summarise the details of the purchase and accept. A confirmation email will be sent to the address you provided.
